Longleaf Pine Establishment and Management Course (May 15-16, 2013)

“Longleaf pine once covered 60-90 million acres in the Southeastern US. Today, longleaf covers approximately 3.5 million acres. This course is designed to provide foresters, landowners and land managers with information to effectively re-establish longleaf pine on old-field sites, pasturelands and grasslands. Topics covered include establishment periods, seedling selection, planting, competition control, prescribed fire prescriptions, fertilization regimes and economics.”
