Dr. Heitmann’s last class!

Every Wednesday when we meet for PSE 472 class to discuss the previous paper machine run, Dr. Heitmann brings us cookies.  We decided to buy him a cookie cake for our final class meeting and his final class before he retires.

Dr. Heitmann began teaching at NC State in 1987.  He is an alumnus of our pulp and paper technology program and worked in industry before returning to State.  Dr. Heitmann was selected as Outstanding Teacher in 1994 and Distinguished Alumni Undergraduate Professor in 2003.

So with that, we say “Happy Retirement Dr. Heitmann”.    Your twenty-seven years of service has touched so many lives.  We are thankful for your technical expertise, professional advice and concern for our progress and success as students and alumni.  We greatly appreciate all that you have done over your career at NC State!
