Her prior professional experience includes work with the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources Intergovernmental Affairs Office as well as the North Carolina Division of Employment Security Public Information Office. A PhD student in Public Administration, her personal research interests include risk perception and management as well as organizational partnerships.
