John Diaz

John started working on the wildland fire project in the spring of 2011 as a research assistant and is responsible for managing the coordination of our field research efforts. John is also working as a research assistant with the Southern Fire Exchange developing a comprehensive multimedia marketing strategy which utilizes an integrated educational outreach approach to increase public knowledge of prescribed fire. John has two Bachelor of Science degrees from North Carolina State University: B.S. in Environmental Technology and Management and B.S. in Science, Technology and Society. John recently completed his M.S. in Natural Resources with a technical concentration in Policy and Administration and is currently in the Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources at North Carolina State University working on his PhD. in Forestry and Environmental Resources.
