Mary Obiol, MPA Student

Mary Obiol is pursuing her masters degree in the Department of Public Administration at NC State University. A proud wolfpack, she also received her BA in Communication from NC State and worked as an undergraduate research assistant for four years in the Department of Communication. Mary’s research interests include examining individuals’ stigma management, uncertainty management, and disclosure. Her published work appears in the Journal of Health Communication, Qualitative Health Research, and the Western Journal of Communication. She joined the Fire Chasers in 2024 where she looks forward to broadening her research interests and experience.
