Cody is an Assistant Professor of Public Administration in Appalachian State University’s Department of Government and Justice Studies. He joined App State after obtaining his PhD from the Department of Public Administration at NCSU in 2025 and has been working with the Fire Chasers since 2023. Cody’s research interests revolve around public management and economic/community development in distressed communities.
