Grainne O'Grady is a Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Biology student who spent her summer in the Black Mountains studying the Hermit Thrush. While she was there, she and her group recaptured specific birds that they had tagged with GPS trackers last year.

Vanessa Merritt is a Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Biology student who spent her summer studying Hermit Thrushes. Although her original plans were canceled due to COVID-19, Vanessa was still able to work from home on a research project that follows Hermit Thrushes in the Appalachian Mountains.
